This organic matcha is made from tea leaves of the first and third flush. It is a blend of the Okumidori, Samidori, Yabukita, and Komakage cultivars. Our Uji Matcha is always ground-to-order for maximum freshness. The city of Uji is renowned for its green tea. In fact, Kyoto Prefecture is believed to be the original site of tea cultivation in Japan.
